Fees and Refunds

Individual tutoring

$60 per hour.

Small group classes

No small group classes are running this year.

Methods of payment

Students are welcome to pay cash for the first two lessons while they evaluate whether Mathscience tuition meets their needs.

Once students have made a decision to continue with tuition then upfront payment for the remainder of the school term can be made by direct deposit or by cheque. An invoice with these details will be provided. These details will also appear when a student logs in to the website. Alternatively credit card payments can be made via a secure link with paypal when students are logged into the website.

Refund policy

Occasionally studnets are sick, or have unavoidable commitments which mean they must miss a lesson. To accomodate this, a full refund is offered for one missed lesson a term, and a 50% refund for any further missed lessons, unless if I am able to find another student to take the lesson/s in which case a full refund will be issued.

Child protection/Health and safety

Child Protection Issues

Parents should be aware that at times there will not be another adult present in the house during lessons. Please note that parents are most welcome to sit in on (or nearby to) any Mathscience lesson at any time.

I hold a current certificate for self employed people in child-related employment (Certificate no: 3EA7F3/15/04/2011).

Other Health and safety issues

Students with medical conditions, such as severe allergies, that they believe I should be aware of can notify me of these using the space provided when they register.

Privacy policy

We will not share your personal details or your email address with anyone. If when you register you tick the box below labelled "Notify me regarding new sessions", then we will send you occasional emails as new sessions become available for booking. Otherwise, we will only send you email directly related to sessions you have booked.

This website uses cookies to store your login details on your computer so you do not have to type your email/password every time you visit. If you are logging in from a computer that may be accessed by others, be sure to click the logout button at the top of the page when you are finished.

Why should I register with mathscience.com.au ?

Registering allows you to book and make payments quickly and easily online. This is convenient for us and hopefully also convenient for you.

How does online booking work ?

First, you need to register. (Click the register tab and fill in the form). Once you have registered, you can sign in using the email address and password you have provided. To book, select the "book tutoring" tab. This lists all the sessions that are available by date and time. Click on any sessions in the calendar that you are interested in. This will give a detailed description of the session, and allow you to book, if there is free space in the session. If you are booking individual lessons for the first time, or outside your usual timeslot, please send me an email or call me before booking to check that the session wish to book is free, as at times the calendar it not completely up-to-date. Once you have booked (or I have booked you in, if you would prefer that I take care of that step) your booked sessions will appear on the home page when you are logged in. You may then pay for these by clicking the 'pay' tab which provides a link to paypal for credit card payments and Mathscience banking details for direct deposit payments.

Why all the questions when I register ?

The only compulsory parts of the form are the contact and login details. We presume that if you are registering, you want to be tutored, in which case we may need to contact you or a parent/guardian in the unlikely event of an emergency.

Where are you located ?
